However, there are times when Qaila feels unsure about the tutor’s instructions or misunderstands them. When this happens, she often asks again using Indonesian to make sure she understands correctly. This shows that she wants to learn and understand the lesson properly. At the moment, the tutor is encouraging students to get used to English by reducing the use of Indonesian and avoiding direct translation in class.

The main area that needs improvement is speaking. Sometimes Qaila feels confused when responding in English, which may be caused by limited vocabulary and understanding. Even so, she often tries to answer in English, although it may take her some time. The tutor really appreciates this effort, as it shows that Qaila is willing to try and practice speaking English. In addition, Qaila’s voice in class is often very soft, so the tutor sometimes has difficulty hearing her responses clearly. Support from parents at home may help Qaila become more confident and speak with a clearer voice.
To support her progress, it is recommended that Qaila gets more exposure to English at home, such as watching English content or listening to English videos to expand her vocabulary. Practicing simple English conversations with parents at home will also help her feel more confident and comfortable speaking English, not only in class.
